The Olive Tree Menu

I ordered Prime Rib as it was a special. The greek salad was good, the complimentary crab cake appetizer was just ok. My Prime Rib was mostly fat and I could not even chew it. When I told the waitress about my prime rib she said she would replace it if I wanted. I told her I had lost my appetite so no thank you. She said she would send the manager over. The manager never showed. The waitress came back with the bill and said she took 20% off. I was amazed they still wanted to charge me for something I would not even give to a dog. At that point I was very disappointed the manager never had the decency to care about her customers. I did not want to get in to an argument with the waitress as she was still being very nice so we decided to pay the bill and leave but we will not go back. On a side note the place is really in need of an update. It's very drab inside and not very appealing.

Nice people, but the food I ordered (fish special) was a horrific, overcooked nightmare. Add in the guitar player / singer with the music machine and the belly dancer, and you have an interesting experience on your hands. Many of those on hand seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves, and one bad entree does not a final grade make. But the three stars I give them are a gift of good will.

Went one time, cautious to go back. The service was fine, I can only say nice things about our waitress. We ordered two gyros with salad. The gyro was okay at best. The salad was browning. We were also there midday and it was burning up inside. I'm not sure if the AC was broken, or shut off, but sweating while eating dinner isn't exactly comfortable.

As transplanted NYer's, we are constantly looking for a good gyro. This place had them! Its not much when you walk in but the food makes up for it. The service was good and the waitress had no problems answering our questions about the menu.

The breakfast foods are good, the servers could be a lot nicer. The hostess acted like I was putting here out to help us find a seat. I like this place, the locals seem to like it, I just don't think the employees like it, I hope the management takes note of all our comments. Walking distance from the airport is very convenient, don't loos us we are good customers.

Great authentic Greek food. Had the tour platter...everything was very tasty, and you could tell they care about the quality of food served. Waitress was also very nice and attentive. Looking forward to coming again.

My husband and I took our two boys and my little brother who was staying with us to the Olive Tree for dinner one night. I had read good reviews about the restaurant and it's food. Prices were fair so we decided to try it out. Our server was great, very attentive, quick to bring refills and pleasant. The food was very good, portions were great and I LOVE that the kids meals are only a $1! We were very happy with our first experience. Our second experience, well that was not as good. Our service was not as good as before. We had to wait for drink refills and it wasn't as prompt. The rolls were hard but the portions were still good and three of the four meals were good. My mother ordered the Spinach Pie. She took one bite and it turned her stomach. She has ordered Spinach Pie at her local restaurant several times and love it. She said the Spinach Pie here was not good. I went to the register to ask for a menu so my mom could look to see if she wanted to order something else. It took our server a very long time to return to our table. In the time that it took her to return to the table my mother's stomach got very upset. My son had not finished his buttered spaghetti so I offered it to my mother so she would not get sick. When the server finally came back to our table I told her that my mother did not like her meal and that I would like her to remove it from our bill. She said she would have to talk to her manager. She returned a couple of minutes later and said that she could not remove it from the bill but that she could box it up for us to take home. I told her that we did not want to take it home and asked why her manager would not remove it from the bill. She just kind of shrugged so I asked to speak to her manager. The manager came to the table and informed us that she would not take the meal off because it was not prepared poorly my mother just did not like it. I have never in all of my time dining out ever had a manager act this way. It's good customer service to at least offer to make the customer something else. We had planned to each get dessert but when the manager was so rude we decided to forget dessert. My mother ended up being sick to her stomach the rest of the night and most of the next day from that one bite of Spinach Pie. I feel there was something wrong with it. I am sad that the manager we had on our second visit was so rude and did not appreciate our business because we really liked that restaurant but I will never step foot in their establishment again.

Coming from NY we hunger for gyros, theirs is decent. Chicken slouvaki are made to order and a decent size. Their salads are hit or miss sometimes using fresh feta sometimes not. Overall the service can be better but the meals are decently priced. Service is better when owner is present, too bad he isn't there all the time!

Best breakfast and price in town. Excellent Greek salad and very good specials. The soups are excellent. We have ate there are many occasions and always very good food.

Good enough gyro, unfortunately served by a waitress who had the cheerfulness of a hostage. Sample full-length conversation: "Does the gyro come with fries?" "No."

All I wanted was something to eat. So, I order pancakes with extra butter. When the pancakes got there, the waitress says, just a minute--I'll get the butter and syrup. The pancakes were already tepid. By the time the butter arrived...and the butter was in little one ounce packets that I have to open one-by-one. Well, I'm sorry, but that is simply incompetent. You can't possibly smear cold butter one dot at a time on cold pancakes. Hat. Door. Car. Publix. Pourable pancakes. Good.

Great Greek and Italian food for a reasonable price. We eat there about once a month and have never had a bad meal! I recommend them highly.

I can't believe a place could go down hill like a rocket, but this place did! My wife and I frequented the olive tree about 4 to 5 times weekly. For whatever reason, the food went from very good to very poor, in every respect. Everything cooked with oil is bitter and not even edible. I mean even the toast or home fries. they apparently smear old oil on the grill when cooking these items. We've had just about everything the place serves, and the last time we went in is the last time we will ever. Started out with a horrible breakfast, and to make it up to me I got a horrible burger. I feel bad writing this review because we like the waitresses, and also I had written a great review only one year ago. There are too many consistent restaurants in the area to go to the Olive Tree. So good bye Olive Tree!
